Development History
Zhoucun has always been known as the "hometown of silk". "Mulberry trees fill the fields, every household raises silkworms, the sound of looms can be heard everywhere, and every family weaves silk fabrics" is a vivid portrayal of the prosperous period of Zhoucun's silk industry in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties.
In 1956, in response to the national call for public-private partnerships, many small workshops such as silk weaving, dyeing, and printing in Zhoucun area, based on the original "Jidong" silk weaving factory, 54 weaving workshops formed the first public-private partnership silk weaving factory in Zhoucun. Seventy-two dyeing workshops such as "Yide" and "Tianxingcheng" merged to establish the Zhoucun Jianye Printing and Dyeing Factory under public-private partnership. Later, they developed into the first Zibo Silk Weaving Factory and Zibo Silk Printing and Dyeing Factory respectively. From the 1950s to the end of the 1990s, these two enterprises became well-known silk weaving and printing and dyeing enterprises nationwide during the planned economy period, and their products won many honorary titles such as national excellent and ministerial excellent products.
In 2004, Zibo Daranfang Silk Group Co., Ltd. was restructured and formed by the first Zibo Silk Weaving Factory, Zibo Silk Printing and Dyeing Factory, Zibo Silk Reproduction Factory, and Zibo Silk Wholesale Station. Chen Lu is the chairman and a new leadership collective has been formed.
After the new leadership took office, they inherited the excellent traditions of the enterprise, deepened reforms, transformed operating mechanisms, innovated marketing and management models, and strengthened research and development and innovation, enabling the enterprise to quickly embark on a broad avenue of healthy development in a new round. Under the private system, after more than twenty years of continuous development, it has become a key enterprise in the national silk industry.
